Salsa

Description: Home-made salsa (mild).
Yield: Side dish with chips for up to 8 people.

Qty Unit Ingredient
1 can (28 oz) Crushed Tomatoes
1 Lime
1 Tomato
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
Green Onion
Cilantro
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
Cumin
Ginger
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper
Chipotle Powder

Directions:

  1. Dice Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, and Green onions. Put diced ingredients into bowl.
  2. Chop cilantro and add to bowl.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, lime zest, and lime juice to bowl.
  4. Add fresh garlic (or garlic powder), cumin, ginger, salt, black pepper and chipotle chili powder to taste.
  5. Refrigerate for several hours (12 or more if possible)
